Yi Xiaoguang, male, Han nationality, is a native of Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1958, joined the PLA in 1974, and joined the CPC in 1977. He was promoted as Major General in 2001 and Lieutenant General in 2012. Since July 2016, he is General PLA, and became the youngest general of PLA at present. From 2010 to 2012, he was Deputy Commander of Nanjing Military Region and Commander of Nanjing Military Air Force. From 2012 to 2014, he was Assistant Chief of General Staff, PLA. In July 2014, he was promoted to Deputy Chief of General Staff, PLA, later was assigned as Deputy Chief of Staff of the CMC Joint Staff Department of PLA. He was an alternate member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
